Worth the price!! Some of the kindest people and biggest portions I’ve ever had. I’m from Texas and the barbecue here rivaled what I’ve had. Never gotten a bigger cut of brisket before on the large plate. Mac and cheese wasn’t anything special but everything else was incredible. Highly recommend.

I met Big D while working a catering event and got to try a lot of his menu items. I recently went to the restaurant and it was excellent. I got the brisket and ribs in the 2 meat combo with green beans and Coleslaw. I could eat the green beans every day; they are fresh and deliciously flavored. The coleslaw dressing is mayo based but it is light and so good. Big D’s brisket is the best I have had anywhere in SC and I would put it up against most in Texas. It has just the right amount of fat and falls apart. The ribs literally fall off the bone and are fantastic. I don’t like smoked flavor in most things but the Smoked Chicken Wings are phenomenal. He has 3 homemade sauces and offers a 4th to cover all tastebuds. The mustard base is rich and flavorful; I’m not usually a fan of mustard sauce but his is so good and has unique ingredients that set it apart. I love the other two sauces, as well. The restaurant is homey and the service is exceptional and all the food is prepared fresh. They are only open Friday through Sunday and a bit out of town but it is more than worth the trip. BBQ fans owe it to themselves to get their now!

Best brisket I have ever eaten...not even close!! BBQ and Smoked chicken BBQ and fixings were awesome too. Big D the owner, came out and went to each table & hitalked to everyone in the restaurant and thanked everyone for coming. Won't meet a nicer person!! Would give 10 stars if I could!!

Hand down delicious. Customer service was great. My brisket was so juicy ,and tender and the portions was so large. I even have enough for snack after I wake up from this good nap. All smiles

Amazing BBQ and even better people! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made me feel like family. Everyone was so friendly, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. The food was delicious, everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back for both the food and the people!

This is a very unassuming place out in the country near Walhalla, SC. The food was awesome. We've had plenty of bbq from all over SC, and this place is definitely in our top 5! Seriously, the BEST smoked chicken we've ever had. You can tell it's legit by the chopped wood and smoker outside nearby the restaurant. The cost is a little pricey, but it's worth it. The sweetest lady waited on us, and we had the pleasure of speaking to the owner himself, as he came out to greet us. Very good food! Oh, and the desserts! We got 3, the banana pudding, peach cobbler and a black velvet large slice of cake. The cake was so light and fluffy. Totally worth the trip! You won't regret it.

Country dining done right. Smoked 18oz ribeye was good. Lightly smoked, cooked to proper temp I ordered. Nicely seasoned. Green beans were great. Mac was good, but I saw better portions on other plates. My wife really enjoyed her meatloaf. Service staff was very busy but were working together really well. Ruby? did a great job for us. We came in at 11:30am. The dining room was full, and when we left at 12:30pm, there was a large wait. It's great to see this kind of support for a local spot. Today was out first time. Looking forward to trying some ribs and brisket soon.

Great little spot easily missable if you aren’t paying attention. This is country at its best, nothing fancy, but very good food and friendly staff! If you like BBQ, this is worth making a trip to.
